How to relieve shin pain?

17-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello! I have pain on the right side of my tibia, I don't know which muscle is involved and how to relieve it. What can I do? I've done some research on the internet, but I can't find an answer to my question. Thank you for your help!

Hello, thank you for your question! Is the pain due to an injury, exercise, or a wrong movement?

Hello! I work out regularly so maybe it's due to the workout suite, but I couldn't tell you what exactly.

Thank you for the precision! Indeed, this type of pain can result from a repetitive movement and/or a muscle imbalance
Your best plan will be a physiotherapy consultation. Physiotherapists are the best people to assess injuries, treat them, and also help you prevent them in the future. Most group insurances provide this type of service.
In the meantime, I suggest that you avoid activities or movements that cause pain, apply ice for 10-15 minutes at a time, and if you have no allergies or contraindications, take ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and others).
Sincerely
