I'm on a diet or rather I'm paying attention to my diet, I started to train too and since then I haven't had a bowel movement.

I have tried lax-a- day but no matter what possology it only softens the few small bowel movements I may have. I don't want a stool softener but something that activates to go more often. Do you have a recommendation please?

Hello,
Thank you for the amount of information provided, it helps me a lot in analyzing your situation
Lax-A-Day is generally more than a stool softener. It is a laxative that is not too harsh, but not too mild either. If you have just started working out, the body eliminates more water at first. So it's plausible to think that your gut is trying to absorb more water, which can harden the stool. A possible short-term solution would be senna tablets (Senokot). We can prescribe these at the pharmacy. It's a little more effective than Lax-A-Day powder and it doesn't work the same way
I recommend that you use Senokot 8.6 mg 1 to 2 tablets once a day for the shortest amount of time possible, as it can make the bowel lazy over time (after several weeks of use). Also, I don't know if you drink a lot of water, but it would be possible to drink a lot of water too. It would help with softer stools (especially combined with the Senokot).
I hope that answers your question. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate

Thank you, I will ask my pharmacist since you say it can be prescribed by her!
