Is this a tension headache? Can the anxiety I am currently experiencing cause this?

For about 4 days I have had a headache. It feels like spasms on the top of my head and on my forehead. The pain does not prevent me from functioning, it is especially when I stop that it starts to be felt. When I am active I don't think about it and I don't feel it. I have no other symptoms. With advil it goes away but since the pain is not constant it's hard to tell. It comes in small bursts. I am under a lot of stress these days and I am anxious by nature. I clench my teeth a lot and I think that causes me headaches.

Good evening,
It is possible. Here is an interesting article: do you recognize yourself? https://douleurchronique.org/les-maladies/maux-de-tetes/cephalee-de-tension/
Stress and clenching of the teeth can cause headaches. We can also ask about tension in the neck and the menstrual cycle. If it's coming from the neck, a warm pillow can help soothe it. Find the gestures that make you feel good: a bath? A massage? A recreational or physical activity? Give yourself time
We must be careful not to take too much or too often painkillers to avoid a rebound headache.

Yes, I recognize myself quite well in the article you sent me!
as I have anxiety, I let you guess that I have a lot of worst case scenarios in mind when I have pain. Can the type of pain I described to you sound like a serious illness or urgent problem (like on the internet we talk about a brain tumor or clot).
for my part, the pain is not intense and I can live well anyway. It's just annoying and worrying for me!

Good evening,
What you describe sounds common. Perhaps find some non-pharmacological measures to help you manage the anxiety and perhaps the headaches will be lessened. If this is not enough, psychotherapy can bring a lot of benefits in the long run
