My Achilles tendon hurts, what can I do?

My achilles tendon has been hurting for a few days now. The pain intensifies when I walk and put more weight on it. What is recommended to make the pain go away and correct the problem?

Hello Sir,
If it is a recent injury, applying ice in a wet towel for 15 minutes at a time, as often as necessary, is a good start. If you don't have any allergies or contraindications (your pharmacist will be able to confirm this), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other brands) can also help relieve the pain, even if you take it with food
Without stopping your activities, I invite you to avoid or reduce those that cause pain or make it worse
If the pain persists for more than 2 weeks without improvement, I strongly suggest that you consult a physiotherapist. They are the best professionals to assess the pain and develop a treatment plan with you to address the problem and avoid it in the future
I hope I have been helpful, please do not hesitate if you have any further questions
