Besides Sinus Rinse and frequent hand washing, what other ways can we prevent colds?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I was just hospitalized for early labor. Our 4 year old daughter is catching one cold after another at daycare and of course we are catching them too. I would like to do everything I can to stop this cycle.

Hello Madame,
Unfortunately, there is not much more that can be done.
Beyond the tips you mentioned, I would recommend that everyone cough and sneeze into their elbows, wash their hands before putting their hands to their face, and get plenty of rest.
Then, although not proven to reduce the incidence of colds, all Quebecers should take vitamin D during these winter months (at 600 IU per day). Small studies with few patients have shown that at high doses, this supplement could reduce the risk of getting a cold. So, while I don't recommend the large dose, I believe it can't hurt to take at the above dose. 😊
It is possible to take it pregnant too.
Happy day,
Alexander
