How can I better absorb iron into my body with the background I mentioned?

I take prescribed iron supplements but I don't feel any difference. I feel dizzy sometimes and have trouble focusing with my vision sometimes. I have already been anemic because of my iron deficiency in the past. What can I do to get more iron into my system?

Please note that I take 300mg of ferrous sulfate twice a day as prescribed by my doctor.

Hello, what time of day do you take it?
Are you taking any other medications?

I use a contraceptive method (Ring) and I take it morning and night

Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
The only way to know if you are absorbing the iron will be with a blood test 3-6 months after starting the supplementation.
I suggest, if possible, taking the iron on an empty stomach or with vitamin C (like orange juice). You can even take the 2 tablets of the day together without problems.
If this product causes you irritation, constipation or other problems, it can be taken with food, trying to avoid dairy products for at least 3 hours before or after.
I hope I have been of some help to you, and I remain available if you have any further questions!
