What can I do for tendonitis

32-year-old woman2 years ago
I have tendonitis in my wrist. For about 3 weeks now, I have been wearing a brace almost all day. I have an office job. The pain is mostly in the morning when I wake up and move my wrist.

Hello Ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
This type of injury can result from a wrong movement, a repetitive movement, or a particular position (sleep, work, activities, etc.). I recommend that you consult a physiotherapist. They are the best professionals to evaluate the pain and develop a realistic treatment plan for you to treat the pain and prevent it in the future. Most group insurances provide this type of service.
Painkillers such as Tylenol or Advil (if you are not contraindicated to take them, your pharmacist will be able to confirm this) can help relieve the pain. Also, applying ice in a wet towel for 10-15 minutes can also help with inflammation.
I hope I've been helpful, I'm available if you have any other questions

Great, thanks! I will check with a physiotherapist.
I was also told about arnica cream. Is this a product that works?

It is a product with no active ingredients. That being said, you can try it, but you can't expect it to be very effective.
