Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
I suggest first of all to perform nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as necessary during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, symptoms such as nasal congestion and discharge, sneezing, and discharge down the throat can be greatly reduced. It's a little uncomfortable but works wonders!
I also suggest avoiding keeping windows open especially in dry and/or windy weather. After an outing, change your clothes quickly and wash your hands, and avoid drying clothes outside.
If the air in your room is very dry, the use of a humidifier may help to reduce the allergen particles in the air.
If these measures are only partially effective, I suggest that you consult your pharmacist who will evaluate the possibility of prescribing an antihistamine such as Aerius or Claritin. This can be used in conjunction with nasal hygiene.
I would also recommend trying to find possible causes for your symptoms such as dust, dry air, dust mites (carpets, pets, etc.) and others.
I hope I have been helpful, I will remain available if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
