Difficulty to recover after an outdoor activity in a heat wave, what can I do to avoid inconveniences (diarrhea, nausea)?

In good health, I do a lot of outdoor activities and for two years I have not felt for 2-3 days after the activity (I have diarrhea, nausea, dizziness), I hydrate myself (water and gatorade) and I eat well. Do you have any solutions to avoid this?

Hello Ma'am,
What you are describing is not so much related to dehydration, but more akin to heat stroke. Indeed, rehydrating with water and Gatorade can help, but never as much as wearing light clothing, dousing yourself with cold water during activity, and avoiding "giving too much away" on very hot days.
Have you ever noticed that it's worse when it's very hot on the day of your outdoor outing?

Hello Sir,
I wear activewear and like Tuesday I have been swimming a few times. It's mostly on 25+ degree days that it happens. I'm usually careful not to "give myself away too much."

I get it.
What about your diet during these days? Do you try to eat lighter? eat colder?

I eat cold and eat a little less, because I'm too hot (usually in the summer I lose weight, because I'm less hungry). When hiking, I eat almonds, dried fruit, larabar (if needed), vegetables and a protein powder drink.

I would like to specify that I sweat very little.

Thank you for these details. It is most likely because you do not sweat much as well that you "get sick" during physical activities that raises the body temperature a lot.
To simulate sweat, whose role is to get heat out of the body by evaporating water on the skin, it is possible to carry a small bottle of water on a hike and use it to spray the skin during the activity. It's worth a try, considering you're eating well and already taking good precautions.

Thanks for the information, I will try it for sure.
