I take the pill continuously and I have less bleeding, is this normal?

Hello, I am a 29 year old woman who has been taking the Alesse pill for more than 10 years and has been taking the pill for 14 years. For at least 5 years I have been taking the pill continuously. I am in my week every other month. I used to fall on my week on Tuesday or early Wednesday AM and my period would be heavy until Friday (or sometimes Saturday) and then it would be sparse until Sunday. However, the last 2 times I have fallen in my week (August and October), my "heavy" periods have lasted 2 days and still it is not as heavy as before. Currently I am on my 3rd day and I have almost nothing. Since I was 15 years old my menstrual cycle has always been almost the same. So I'm a little worried about that. Also, I had the covid at the end of April 2022. I fell back into my week in June (but I don't remember my cycle), Then I had my period in August and October or I noticed the change. I have good mental health, I am not a stressed person, I eat well and I exercise regularly but not excessively, so I am wondering about this change.

Good morning, ma'am,
Although the situation may be unpleasant, it does not necessarily indicate a problem
Small changes in the appearance or amount of bleeding or spotting is normal over time, and does not usually indicate that there is a problem or that the contraception is not working.
I encourage you to continue taking your contraceptive as planned if you are willing to do so, and I will be available if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, Pharmacist

Thank you for your feedback! Do you think it would be better for me to go back to my week every month? That is to say, stop taking the pill one month out of two? That way I can determine my cycle?

I want to reassure you that the bleeding period when you have a break from the contraceptive is only withdrawal bleeding and not menstruation. This bleeding is not necessary for your health or fertility
If you wish to continue taking the pill continuously, that is what I suggest. It's up to you :)
