I am in burn-out due to stress and fatigue, can cannabis help me relax? Are there any risks to worsen my psychological balance?

Hello, thank you for your question. This is indeed a current but rather sensitive subject
Many people mention that marijuana can help them relax. This is due to the ingredient known as THC, which is a central nervous system depressant. Burnout and related conditions are in part associated with some central nervous system depression. Without contributing to the symptoms of burn-out, stress or depression, cannabis may not help you in the short or long term
If your symptoms are becoming more and more frequent, or are even starting to prevent you from functioning during your day, know that you have many resources at your disposal. Don't hesitate to contact the health professional closest to you (pharmacist or doctor for example).

That answers my question very well. Would you have any other suggestion to help me relax and slow down my brain. My doctor prescribed Rivotril and it helped me. I had stopped everything, but I have a relapse. I took a break, but I'm still stressed and can't sleep. Should I go back on Rivotril?
Thank you very, very much!

When taken as needed, Rivotril is an effective and safe medication. Its use becomes problematic if you have to take it regularly over several weeks. In this case, it would be prudent to contact your doctor for safer long-term solutions.
Several strategies can be tried. Learning to relax is not easy, you need to find your own activities that will help you manage stress, including meditation, any physical activity, yoga.
It would be wise to avoid substances that increase stress or anxiety such as alcohol, tobacco, or stimulant medications (some cold medications for example!)
To keep your body and mind healthy, you need to get adequate sleep at night. To help you do this, I suggest avoiding screens at least 1 hour before bedtime, and keeping the bedroom for sleep only (no TV, work or reading in bed)
Many of these strategies can take several weeks to implement, so you need to take one thing at a time. Just remember that anxiety is a very common problem, and you shouldn't be ashamed or afraid to ask for help, either from a loved one or a health care professional
Don't hesitate if you have any other questions!
