Usually, when this type of situation arises, I recommend the following steps in addition to considering taking a supplement:
Avoid tying your hair up with a tight elastic band;
Avoid blow-drying your hair;
Avoid hair dyes;
Avoid exposing your hair to rapid changes in temperature by wearing a toque;
Avoid washing your hair every day.
If this has been done and you still want a dietary supplement, I recommend using a B-complex multivitamin. This can be found at the pharmacy near the vitamin B12.
