How long before zopiclone no longer passes into breast milk?

32-year-old womanil y a 2 ans
Hello, I am breastfeeding my one month old baby. However, I have a lot of insomnia, although my baby sleeps well for his young age. Before my pregnancy, I was taking zopiclone because I am prone to insomnia. I was told that I could take it occasionally while breastfeeding. I would like to know how long it takes for the zopiclone to disappear from the breast milk after taking it. I am thinking of pumping during the day and having my partner and I give bottles at night rather than breastfeeding. Thank you

Hello, thank you for your question!
Occasional use of zopiclone should not cause any problems for you or your baby. Although it may get into your breast milk a little, you can still continue to breastfeed your baby. I found a small study where it was reported that after 22 hours there was no more zopiclone in the breast milk.
I hope that I have reassured you and I am available if you have any other questions!
