I was taking my Synthroid tablet every morning, but I was just prescribed Doxycycline (100mg) 2x a day. Is there a time limit between the two?

There is no interaction between Doxycycline and Synthroid. Therefore, there is no minimum delay between taking one and the other. However, as far as Doxycycline is concerned, it is preferable to take it with food to reduce the risk of stomach irritation. In addition, Doxycycline should be taken at least 2 hours apart from dairy products, vitamins containing calcium, magnesium or aluminum, and antacids.
Doxycycline may interact with other drugs or natural health products. It is therefore preferable to consult a pharmacist if you are taking such products, to ensure that your antibiotic treatment will be effective and safe.
