Is there a product or products that can replace arthritic Tylenol to administer to a person with an intellectual disability who has difficulty swallowing? (Patch? Capsules? Small pills that can be crushed?)

This is a very good question! First of all, you should know that Arthritis Tylenol is not that different from Extra Strength Tylenol. It contains the same medication, in a slightly larger quantity, with a capsule that allows for a prolonged release over approximately 8 hours. Because of this, it is possible to change the dosage of the medication and take Tylenol Extra Strength instead. There is also the option of using acetaminophen suppositories, the medication contained in Tylenol.

No other format of Tylenol is available to my knowledge.

So, in the case of the person you mention, it is possible to take Extra Strength tablets (white, no film on the tablet, also called "Easy to swallow") and crush them and put them in food, or take Acetaminophen syrup (Tempra or Tylenol for children) and give the dose according to the weight
