Would it be safe to take a single dose of fluconazole 150mg when I already take 20mg citalopram?

Hello, I take 20mg citalopram and was prescribed a once off dose of 150mg fluconazole to treat oral thrush as well as a skin fungal infection. I read about the interaction between citalopram and fluconazole and I already have such cardiac anxiety so I am very scared to take it. Just wanting to know if there is a possibility of a bad interaction?

hello, I have been prescribed a once off dose of 150mg fluconazole to treat oral thrush and a fungal skin infection. I already take 20mg citalopram and I saw that there is a possible interaction between it and fluconazole. I suffer from terrible cardiac anxiety and panic attacks so I’m so scared to take the fluconazole as the possible interaction is an irregular heart beat. But I know I need to take the medication to get rid of the candidiasis. Would it be safe to take these two drugs together?

Hello,
A single dose of fluconazole is not likely to be problematic with citalopram.
Kind regards,
