Hello, and thank you for your question!
Here are a few measures that an be implemented to help relieve your symptoms (all safe during breastfeeding):
The use of lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend can be used for a local relief of pain. Drink lots of fluids, cold or warm according to your preferences. Also, the use of Tylenol or Advil can supply a longer-lasting relief of your discomfort.
If your nose is blocked or leaking, nasal hygiene with a saline solution such as Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse is your best option. It can be used as many times per day as needed, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. It is a tad unpleasant but works wonders to prevent mucus leaking in the back of the throat which often causes coughing.
I hope I've been helpful, please do not hesitate if you have any other questions!

Your cough, is it producing mucus, or is it always a dry cough?

Yes, there is mucus.

Thank you for the info!
If there is mucus, adding a cough suppressant like dextromethorphan might prevent you from eliminating it adequately. It is thus not recommended. Besides, cough syrups have not been proven more effective than drinking lots or even a teaspoon of honey :)
