I was taking my daily sertraline capsule and it opened in my mouth and some of the powder got on my tongue. Is that dangerous?

Hi,

The powder is really not dangerous. However, it must be swallowed to be effective because it contains the main active ingredient. Actually, when a person has difficulty to swallow the capsule, it is possible to open the capsule and sprinkle the powder over yogurt or compote.
