People who have been taking anti-inflammatory drugs continuously for several weeks should not stop them at this time (especially not stop them abruptly). Indeed, there is some preliminary data that has yet to be validated that taking anti-inflammatory drugs (Advil™, Motrin™, Aleve™, ibuprofen, naproxen) during a coronavirus infection may worsen symptoms (or delay optimal management). But the data are not yet strong enough to recommend changing a medication (e.g., Celebrex™) taken continuously and regularly by an individual.
