Hello, I wanted to have details about the Saxenda and Contrave and understand which one would be more appropriate.

Due to an important weight gain for an anxiety medication, my doctor will prescribe me one of these medications to lose weight in addition to exercise. He will get back to me on this. I did a little research. I wanted to understand the differences. I am very sensitive to the hyperstimulant of most antidepressants...including Wellbutrin I think well. I wanted to understand the differences between the medications. I eat more than I used to because I am often hungry and sometimes have food cravings. In the past, REMERON made me gain weight. I am currently taking seroquel, zopiclone and lyrica (+15 lbs). I wanted a medication that would make the most difference for me.

Good evening ma'am,
These two medications are very different, although both are used in the treatment of obesity.
Saxenda™ is in injection form rather than "pill" form, but it might be better for you based on what you tell me. Indeed, Contrave™ contains Wellbutrin (bupropion).
