Can I stop my antibiotic medication?

I've been taking clindamycin as a preventive measure for three days (three 300 mg capsules a day with meals) and now it's not working at all. I would like to stop this medication, but I don't know if it is possible.

Could you please specify what you mean by preventive measure and what you mean by it's not okay at all? Also, what is the duration of treatment?
