How long does it take to see the effects of a new baby formula?

My baby had diarrhea and mucus in his stool for a week. His doctor changed his milk (good start plus) to alimentum. Baby has been drinking the milk for three days, but the poops are still watery and with mucus. Also, her general condition seems worse than before changing her milk. She bends in a U shape because of her discomfort and cries a lot.

The effects of a change in formula can be seen quite quickly, however there are many instances where some of the symptoms return after a few days of improvement,
This being said, the first food is much better tolerated but you should not worry if the stool changes in appearance. Basically your baby is still learning to digest and a period of adaptation is necessary
Does your baby have these symptoms all day or at specific times?

Baby often has these symptoms within a couple of hours of feeding. However, since she drinks six times a day, that's a lot of discomfort during the day.
