My 4 year old boy has a rash on his body, what should I do?

Hello, my 4 year old boy has a rash that is more concentrated on his back and stomach but spreads a little on his face (cheeks), lower and upper limbs, behind his ears. I gave him benadryl which reduced the itching but the little pimples remain! He has no fever but a cough has appeared. He has no known allergy, nor has he ingested any new foods. Should I consult? Could it be a virus or a childhood illness (he goes to daycare)?

Hello ma'am, sorry to read about his troubles!
What you are describing could be a common illness of children. That being said, if he has a good general condition, just monitor him. You can continue the Benadryl if he tolerates it (drowsiness or excitement in young people)
As a precautionary measure, put forward basic hygiene measures such as distancing yourself (if possible) from other children and frequent washing of hands and play surfaces.
If you notice that your child's condition is deteriorating, or if he/she develops a fever, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
I will be available if you have any further questions!

Hello,
thanks for the follow-up! The situation has not changed, the pimples are still present but they don't sting anymore!

I am reassured to read you! Keep up the monitoring and non-pharmacological measures, and don't hesitate to contact me if needed.
