Hello, Madam, unfortunately, many respiratory viruses are currently in circulation.
You mention having a cough for 2 months, is it 2 months without improvement? Would it be possible to know what other symptoms you have exactly and what you have taken/are taking for them, and if you are currently taking other medications? Finally, do you have any allergies/intolerances?

Hello, at the beginning I had 2 days of temperature. I have tested for covid 3 times since then and it is always negative. Yes it's 2 months without improvement. Yes I am allergic to aspirin, pepcid. I am asthmatic but usually it is very well controlled with the nasacort, symbicort pumps and the montelukast pill. Thank you for answering me.

I forgot to tell you in my answer above that my spouse has exactly the same symptoms as me and he started a week after me. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback.
At first glance, I would suggest acetaminophen (Tylenol and other brands) to relieve throat pain if you have it, and fever.
I also suggest lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend if needed, for local relief of throat irritation.
If your ears are not completely blocked, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce the feeling of pressure in the sinuses and prevent them from flowing backwards into the throat which very often causes coughing. It's a bit unpleasant but it works wonders!
I encourage you to drink lots of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
If the symptoms persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
I hope I've been helpful and I'm available if you have any other questions!

Thank you Mr. Samaha, but I'm already doing all that. I think I'm ready to go see a doctor. Have a nice day.

Hello, I was wondering if it could be whooping cough? If so, can it be cured without antibiotics or do you have to take them?

Hello Mrs,
It is impossible to determine this without a medical evaluation, which is why it is recommended to consult if no improvement is felt after 7 days.
