I have been on valtrex for almost 72 hours. Is there still a risk of contagion?

Shingles is contagious during the active phase of the disease, when a rash is present. Shingles is no longer considered contagious when the lesions are crusted.

In your case, shingles does not appear to be in the contagious phase since you do not have a rash.
