Hello, thank you for your question!
According to the CDC Traveler Health, everyone should have received the usual immunization schedule
Here is the Quebec Immunization Protocol schedule:
It includes vaccines against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis A and B, polio and haemophilus influenzae type B, pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, rotavirus vaccine, measles, rubella, mumps and varicella, and meningococcus
Many of these vaccines are given in multiple doses. I strongly advise you to consult your child's pediatrician, your pharmacist, or at the CLSC, with your child's vaccination record to find out if everything is up to date. Many travel clinics also offer consultation services to help you leave with peace of mind.
As for medication.... In addition to a large quantity of sunscreen, I always suggest that you travel with acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra or others), which is given according to weight. Your pharmacist will be able to tell you how much to give according to the concentration of the product chosen and your child's weight
I hope I have helped you, and I am available if you have any other questions!
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
