my doctor recommended the shingles vaccine because I am 51 years old, but 20 years ago I had a little shingles on the belt of my bra and I went immediately to the doctor who prescribed medication at that time.
Can I still take the vaccine? even if I had an episode of shingles?

Hello, thank you for your question!
You can get the shingles vaccine if your shingles episode was more than a year ago.
Given how long it's been since your episode, the vaccine may improve immune function against this virus.
Hopefully I have been helpful, I remain available if you have any further questions!
