What else can I use to relieve my cough at night?

28-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I got the covid 2 weeks ago and since several days, I have night coughs that prevent me from sleeping well. I am asthmatic with flu and I started my symbicort a week and a half ago, without any noticeable effect at night (I have symbicort, ventolin and flovent at home)

Hello, Madam,
What is the prescribed dosage of your Symbicort?
Do you have any other symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, even a little?

Thanks for the feedback!
I invite you to continue the Symbicort in this case, but to add, if not already done, nasal hygiene with a saline solution like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse, which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime
It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well to keep secretions from running down the throat, which often causes coughing.
I also encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference.
I hope I have been of some help to you and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
