Hello!
Flonase is not indicated for the treatment of nasal congestion associated with a cold
I would advise you to try Sinus Rinse instead. Indeed, nasal irrigation with a saline solution will help eliminate mucus and thus relieve your congestion
You can also try a decongestant nasal spray such as Dristan or Otrivin. These are effective, but you should not use them for more than 3 to 5 days to avoid rebound congestion (reappearance of congestion even worse than before).
There are also decongestants in oral tablet form. However, there are contraindications to their use. If this is ever an option you are interested in, I would need you to answer these questions before I recommend them:
Do you have any allergies?
Are you pregnant?
Are you breastfeeding?
Do you have any health problems?
Are you taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications?
We hope to have answered your question,
