What are the tips for car sickness besides Gravol for a 4 year old?

My 4 year old son gets motion sickness on all car trips. Even after giving him Gravol, he feels nauseous. Is there anything else we can do to help him? We give him a light snack about 30 minutes before leaving, he doesn't read during the ride and we encourage him to look forward rather than sideways.

Good morning, ma'am,
You do well with Gravol, eating a smaller meal up to 2 hours before departure, and encouraging him to look away. It is also recommended, if possible of course, to reduce the temperature in the car, in winter for example by suggesting him to take off his coat or by reducing the intensity of the heating. Otherwise, you can try to distract your child with a conversation, music, or by telling him a story.
If these measures don't work, I would suggest seeing a doctor to try other options.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any further questions

Thank you, I will talk to her doctor at her next follow-up appointment and we will continue to apply the tips mentioned above.
