Good morning, ma'am,
Trintellix is prescribed for generalized anxiety disorder. The maximum indicated dose is 20 mg. Having said that, have you had an improvement in your condition since you reached the 15 mg dose, if you have been taking this dose for at least 2 weeks? If so, I invite you to discuss this with your pharmacist who may, based on his/her judgment and assessment of your situation, adjust the dose and keep your physician informed.
If the 15 mg dose did not help at all, I suggest that you try to see a doctor as soon as possible so as not to delay the management of your situation
That being said, antidepressants can cause both drowsiness and insomnia depending on the person, it is impossible to predict the effect and its magnitude
Many can also increase appetite. A good way to support this is by adopting healthy eating habits and doing at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per day. A nutritionist and kinesiologist can help you with this, and most group insurances cover this type of consultation. It is impossible to make personalized recommendations to you on this platform because there is too much information missing to adequately answer your questions. Your pharmacist is in a better position to do this.
Finally, if you have not already done so, I strongly suggest that you consult a psychologist or psychotherapist as this may help you better manage your situation
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
