I have been on a treatment for RAP for over 6 months. My pain has decreased in the 5th month, but the C-reactive protein and sedimentation are increasingly high. What should I do?

What to do? 20 mg of methotraxte, 400 mg of plaquenil and folic acid tablets.

Good evening ma'am,
Are your symptoms still well controlled? Is your methotrexate in injection form or by mouth?

Hello,
The pain has decreased by a lot, but the protein r.c. Is getting higher and higher.
I am taking methotraxte by mouth. I could increase to 25 mg or take by injection.
I'm not sure what to do.
thank you

So what do you suggest I do.

Hello Ma'am,
Evaluation of treatment effectiveness is based on patient symptoms and disease progression. Several scores exist to measure disease status, some of which use CRP.
In your case, I would advise having a re-evaluation of disease status by the physician.
If there is a change in your medication, it would be best to switch to subcutaneous administration, which will be better absorbed and is likely to cause fewer side effects than increasing the dose by mouth.
I hope this answers your question,

Thank you very much. I had a decision to make between increasing the medication orally or taking the methotraxte by injection.
I was afraid of the injection, but I think it would help me.
Thank you,
You give good service.
