What can I do about my daughter's ear pain?

124-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I suspect an ear infection in my 3.5 year old daughter. No fever, but the pain is very annoying. Other than Motrin/Tylenol, is there anything else I can do? We also suggest a hot or cold magic bag. Would nasal hygiene be helpful or should it be avoided? I guess we should also avoid the pool and water games? Thank you for your help!

Hello ma'am,
Motrin OR Tylenol is the first line choice for pain relief. You can give her a magic bag but I would not suggest giving it hot.
You can perform nasal hygiene if she has coughing, stuffy or runny nose.
If the pain persists for more than a week without improvement, or if other symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted as a precautionary measure.
Hopefully I have been helpful, I remain available if you have any further questions!
