If I have a wet cough and tickling in my throat when I breathe, in the evening, for 3 days, Should I go and see a doctor?

Hello, I have a cough that appeared 4-5 days ago and I lost my voice. I have almost got my voice back, but I have a hacking cough and it prevents me from sleeping because it comes with a tickle in my throat when I breathe.

Hello Mrs.,
Do you have any other symptoms such as runny nose, even a little, coughing, sneezing, or other?
Have you tried anything for the problem?
Are you taking any other medications?
Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or are you breastfeeding?
Do you have any allergies, intolerances or known contraindications?
Thank you for your time!

Good evening,
i have a runny nose from time to time, no more sneezing than usual and it's really the cough that bothers me: a wet cough most of the time and a dry cough from time to time. By the evening, when I breathe I feel tickling in my throat which makes it stronger than me to cough, so I don't sleep much! For the moment, I have tried Lambert syrup, I drink a lot of water, I sleep in an upright position and I drink water with honey. To answer your other questions: no I am not on any medication, I am not pregnant and I have an allergy to Ceclor (Penicillin).

And this morning, when I get up, I have a congested nostril.

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
First of all, I suggest lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend if needed, for local relief of throat irritation.
If your ears are not completely blocked, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce the backward flow of secretions into the throat that often causes coughing. It's a bit unpleasant but it works wonders!
I also encourage you to drink a lot of liquids, cold or hot, depending on your preference.
If the symptoms persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
I hope I've been helpful and I'm available if you have any other questions!
