Hello, for some time now when I go to bed at night I have a dry cough. I was wondering what to do? Should I consult?

Hello Madam, would it be possible to know if you have other symptoms such as a blocked or runny nose, even a little? Did the cough appear during or after a cold, flu or other?

Hi, I don't have any other symptoms except the occasional stinging throat. No, it did not appear after a cold.
thank you

Thanks for the information!
This is often caused by the sinuses leaking into the throat, like a leaky faucet, and is accentuated when lying down. To this end, I strongly recommend nasal hygiene as often as necessary during the day and at least 30 minutes before meals and bedtime, this is the most effective measure.
I also suggest drinking plenty of fluids, cold or hot, depending on your preference. A teaspoon of honey can also help relieve the cough.
If the situation persists for more than 2 weeks without improvement, you should consult a doctor as a precaution.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
