I cough so much that I vomit a few times a day (2 to 4 times). Should I go see a doctor?

Hello, for the last 2-3 days I have been coughing very hard until I vomit a few times a day. I also have a runny nose and I sneeze often. I have a headache. I only take the birth control pill, no other medication and I have no known allergies.

Hello, These symptoms are quite common when you have an infection like a cold. Here are some tips that may help: Drink plenty of fluids; Take your temperature regularly; Take acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol) or ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) to relieve headaches (check with your pharmacist if possible in your case) Use a nasal rinse, such as Sinus Rinse. Symptoms usually last 5-7 days, and up to 14 days. You should see a doctor if: Have trouble breathing; Drink very little fluid and have not urinated every six hours while awake; Feel pain or pressure in your chest or belly; Suddenly feel dizzy or confused; Have a fever with shaking and loss of appetite; Have severe vomiting; Do not feel better after 5 days and still have a fever; Feel better after a few days, then start having a fever again; Have a fever and lung disease (e.g. emphysema or asthma).
