Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
You mention that your nose is not running, do you mean not at all? Do you have congestion? Have you tried anything other than Tylenol? What syrup exactly (name and ingredients) are you taking?

My nose started running this morning with yellow mucus
my cough is greasy and when I force to go look for what is wrong
the sound comes out like pins and needles

I don't want to go to a doctor for something I can cure myself :)

Thank you for the information!
First of all I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with saline solution like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse which can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. It's a little uncomfortable but works extremely well to relieve congestion, discharge and coughing.
I encourage you to drink plenty of fluids, cold or hot depending on your preference. Lozenges such as Halls or Fisherman's Friend can relieve throat irritation if needed.
If the situation persists for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor as a precaution. I will be available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
