Earlier in the day his temperature dropped to 35.5 (rectal). Is this too low? Could this be an effect of the antibiotics?

My 23 month old daughter has had several days of fever this week. We went to the doctor and she has a urinary tract infection. She has been on antibiotics for 2 days.

Good morning, ma'am,
The temperature of a child of this age is usually between 36.6 and 38 degrees Celsius. That being said, fluctuations can occur without necessarily indicating a problem. Just monitor your child's general condition. If she seems fine, is eating and drinking (even if less than usual), and is wetting and soiling her diaper, we'll monitor.
I will be available if you have any further questions!
