Can I take cyclobenzaprine with Contrave?

Hello! I am taking contrave at maximum dose. I know that cyclobenzaprine is not indicated with this medication. So if I stop taking contrave, how many hours or days before I can take cyclobenzaprine? Thank you for your help!

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
Although there is a possible interaction between Contrave and cyclobenzaprine, this combination is not contraindicated.
In fact, I cannot recommend stopping Contrave.
If you wish to take cyclobenzaprine (if it has been prescribed for you), you may, if necessary. It is recommended that you start at a small dose such as 1/2 tablet, to assess tolerance.
Your pharmacist will be able to give you information tailored to your needs.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you so much! I have been trying to reach my pharmacist for the past 2 days but he seems overwhelmed.
