Is there a high risk of pregnancy in my case? Should I take Plan B?

25-year-old womana year ago
Hello, I usually take the pill continuously. This month I decided to take my sugar pills to get my period. I am on my second pill but I still haven't had my period. I know that generally, during menstruation, there is no risk of getting pregnant but is it also the case if my bleeding has not started? My boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside me, should I take plan B? I am on my 23rd day.

Good morning, Madam,
As long as you have taken your contraceptive for at least 21 consecutive days and the period of discontinuation does not exceed 7 days, your contraceptive remains effective even in the absence of bleeding, which is very frequent.
This only applies to combined oral contraceptives (estrogen + progestin) if you have taken them as directed by your pharmacist.
I hope that I have reassured you and I am available if you have any further questions!
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
