Is there any possibility of interaction with the above mentioned supplements and finally, is there any contraindication to take saffron in capsules?

Hello, I have been on escitalopram 20 mg for about 10 weeks. I am also taking omega3 vitamin D3 as well as liposomal vitamin C 1000mg and finally Magnesium byscglinate enriched with taurine and B6. I am considering supplementing with saffron capsules at a rate of two 15mg doses per day.

Hello, there is no contraindication to taking saffron and cipralex (escitalopram) together. Small studies have even shown a positive effect on depression and anxiety. However, it is possible that saffron may cause drowsiness , nausea or vomiting in some people.

Yes you can, but it would be pertinent to notify your pharmacist so that these can be documented in your chart to track interactions as your case progresses
