I have two white spots on my tonsils, they don't hurt, but they are a little disturbing. What should I do with them?

I recently caught Covid-19 (end of my isolation on March 27) could this be related? I am also immunosuppressed as I am on methotrexate.

Hello Ma'am,
It is likely that a whitish deposit called caseum is what is on your tonsils. This deposit forms when bacteria and debris get trapped there. Generally, this deposit does not cause any symptoms, but it can also be accompanied by bad breath, discomfort or a bad taste in the mouth. The latter is not necessarily a symptom of Covid-19.
This deposit can be gotten rid of at home using non-pharmacological measures. It is recommended to gargle the mouth with a salt solution, 1 teaspoon of salt in 250 ml of warm water. It is also possible to press lightly on the tonsils with a cotton swab, for example, to remove small stones. Finally, practicing good hygiene, i.e. flossing and brushing your teeth, reduces the risk of further deposits forming.
If after using these measures for 2 weeks the deposits persist, I advise you to go see your dentist or doctor.
Do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions.
Happy day,
