Are my symptoms normal? Is there anything I can take to help me, like Gravol?

49-year-old woman5 years ago
45 year old woman. Known for hypothyroidism but controlled for 10 years. I received a facet block at lumbar level for osteoarthritis problem on Jan. 10. The treatment worked well, no skin reaction, no pain at the injection site. Since the infiltration I have been feeling nauseous. Nothing to make me vomit but enough to make me feel bad. I can't get in touch with the physiatrist and I don't have a family doctor.

Good evening ma'am,
I think it would be better if you mentioned this effect to the professional who performed the injection. This is because the presence of nausea could be masking a more serious problem with the injection, such as translocation of the drug to tissues that should not be injected. In any case, the professional will be able to tell, since he or she knows exactly where the injection took place, whether your current symptoms are normal (1 week after the injection, it should be mentioned!).
Of course, maybe your nausea not simply nothing to do with the injection (you may just be covering up a little virus), but I would still contact the professional at first to be sure.
In the meantime, yes, the Gravol™ can be helpful.
Good evening,
