Can my medication cause tremors and cold sweats?

27-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, I have been taking labetalol for pregnancy hypertension. My dose has increased from 100 mg BID to 300 mg TID. I find it a lot. I feel tremors in my hands and I feel cold sweats. I also take celexa.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
Would it be possible to know how long you have been taking citalopram and if there has been a change in dose recently?
How long have you been taking the increased dose of labetalol?
Thank you for your question!

Thank you for the information!
The symptoms you describe are not common with labetalol and others in its class, but it is not impossible. If it is secondary to this medication, it usually remains temporary and resolves itself. I suggest monitoring these symptoms in addition to your blood pressure for the next 2-3 weeks.
If the symptoms persist longer or get worse, I suggest contacting your pharmacist who will be able to clarify and evaluate further.
I hope I have been helpful to you, I remain available if you have any further questions
