Hello!
You definitely need to treat the UTI. Maybe the bacteria weakened a bit in the last 5 days, but it was still there, and now it's back with a vengeance.
If you have had an antibiotic to treat a UTI in the past 4 years, you can contact your regular pharmacy to see the pharmacist on duty. The pharmacist will meet with you to evaluate you and determine if you can be prescribed an antibiotic.
If not, you should contact your medical clinic to meet with your doctor. Sometimes, in some FMGs (family medicine groups), nurses can also prescribe. As a last resort, there is an emergency.
If you have a fever or lower back pain, it is essential to see your doctor today. Otherwise, don't wait more than 24-48hrs.
I hope this is helpful,
Have a nice day!
Marie-Laurence Gauthier, pharmacist.
