I have new symptoms that have appeared, nausea, periods of palpitations and diarrhea, what can I do?

Hello, for a few months I have noticed a significant weight loss without having changed anything in my eating habits or my portions. My doctor suspects a problem with my thyroid gland, but asked me to take my weight once a month to check the evolution, since then I've been losing weight continuously. I managed to get an appointment with my doctor in 3 weeks.

Good morning, ma'am,
How long have you had nausea, diarrhea and palpitations? Do you have any other symptoms such as fever or other?
Are you currently taking any other medications?

Hello, It's been 4 days, I have no other symptoms. I had a new contraceptive also (NuvaRing) that I removed two days ago. I thought my nausea and stomach aches would be due to the approach of my period, or to the ring but still no period. Oh, and I had big headaches when I started NuvaRing (3 weeks ago) but that is surely due to the new contraception, even if it is lower in hormones than my birth control pill?

Thanks for the feedback!
In order to verify if the nausea and diarrhea are not secondary to something else (food poisoning, gastroenteritis, etc.), I suggest waiting 5 to 7 days after their appearance.
Taking Gravol can help relieve nausea. It is available without a prescription behind the counter in different forms such as tablets or oral liquid and rectal suppository
I also invite you for the next few days to favor light foods such as soups, broths, toast, eggs, brown rice, and to avoid very fatty or very sweet foods such as red meat and undiluted fruit juice.
Be sure to stay hydrated, taking 1 sip of fluid every 3 to 5 minutes (do not drink too quickly as this can also trigger nausea).
I hope this has been helpful and I am available if you have any further questions!
