After every meal or almost every meal, I feel a certain discomfort. Heartache, stomach ache, heat that subsides within an hour.

Hello,
I will try to help you. However, I will need more information to better target my advice:
  • When did your symptoms start? Is this the first time this has happened to you?
  • What have you tried so far to alleviate your symptoms?
  • Have you noticed if there is anything that triggers/empires or alleviates your symptoms?
Basically, you can always try the following over-the-counter products:
  • TUMS may help relieve stomach upset by reducing stomach acid
  • GRAVOL can help relieve heartache (or nausea); however, it causes drowsiness, hence the fact that it is held behind the counter in pharmacies (but does not require a prescription)
I look forward to hearing from you to help you further.
Sincerely,
David Tan, pharmacist

Hello, these symptoms have been occurring for a few weeks. For the moment, I haven't tried anything and I'm just waiting for the symptoms to go away
These discomforts are new, I had never felt this before..
i didn't really pay attention to what could cause this since it is recurrent even if I try to eat less fat or less carbohydrates

I understand, thank you for your information.
As mentioned, try TUMS and GRAVOL for heartburn and nausea respectively. Both medications can be taken together. If you have heartburn that goes all the way down your throat, you can substitute Tums for GAVISCON instead
In addition to Tums or Gaviscon, you can also try NEXIUM which is found behind the counter if the above options are not enough. Nexium is a stomach acid-lowering medication that is usually prescribed by a doctor, and is recently available without a prescription if you don't have easy access to a doctor. It is taken once a day for up to 14 days (after which time medical attention is required if you need more).
These types of symptoms can occur for many different reasons... I don't know if you are currently experiencing periods of higher stress; if so, that could explain your symptoms. If not, we will have to investigate further to find the cause
Finally, do you think your stomach pain is more of a burning or cramping type? Are there any other symptoms you are experiencing as well (e.g. vomiting, fever)?
Sincerely,
David Tan, pharmacist
