I have night sweats and I don't know if the cause could be my medication or the fact that I currently have the flu.

I have never had any before, I take sertaline 75mg, dexilant 30mg, these are two medications that I believe can cause night sweats in large quantities

Hello! 😀
It is true that sertraline can cause sweating (Dexilant is not known to have this effect for example).
How long ago did you take sertraline? Has there been a recent dose increase? If not, it is unlikely that the sweats caused by the drug would appear after months of treatment.
As for the flu, if you have a fever it is normal to have night sweats and that this is the cause. I recommend first of all sleeping with light clothing and blanket for your comfort. Taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) can control the fever and therefore the night sweats.
Thank you!
