I forgot my pill and now I have spotting, is this normal?

Hello, This is the first time that I forgot a pill of my pack (Elyfem 20). It was the penultimate pill of my pack. For more than a week, I have had "spotting", blood stains (no heavy periods.) However, as a precaution, I took my second pack directly after I forgot. As a result, I have been bleeding despite taking the pill since I forgot.
