My IUD fell out, what should I do?

I had the mirena IUD inserted on August 10 and tonight it fell out during my shower What should I do? Is the IUD still good? I put back a patch I had left over from my previous contraception. Is this correct?

Good morning, ma'am, You will have to contact your doctor as soon as possible if you want the IUD. As for the one you lost, it is not recommended to use it again As for the patch, unless it was discontinued due to a problem other than your preference, yes you can wear it but you will need to make sure you use a second method of contraception for the first week.
